...Somehow on Monday.. I managed to scratch my eyeball or something... cause it is totally red on one side and looks gross...I had Chris take a pic but he refuses to upload it to my computer so I could post it here...Remember the scene in Rocky where his eye looks all yucky... yep.. looks like I have been in a fight...
If felt like I had something in my eye around 6:00... and by 9:00 I had everyone checking my blood pressure and testing for cranial bleeds... I think I'll live... just looks bad...sort of ghoulish... green eye surrounded my blood red... and it's starting to clot so it looks dark red... so.. what color eye shadow goes with red???
Despite the eye, we had a great 4th celebration on the 3rd... large bonfire with hotdogs and somemores.... 300.00 worth of fireworks brought up from S.C. Josh, Jeremy and Heather, Brian and Dana Cail & Morgan... and of course us and assorted neighbors ...the show was spectacular and didn't get out of control until the boys had Roman Candle wars around 11:00..( how old are they???????)
The 4th was so peaceful.... I crocheted bunches of these:

Just couldn't stop... and ended up stringing a little clothes line with minature clothes pins and hung a few in my kitchen... not sure I'll be able to use it as a dish cloth or not...
while they are not at etsy yet... they might be soon... probably somewhere around 2.00 plus shipping...you can send me an email if your interested...OR...if you crochet you can find the pattern here:

Chris and I also made soap on Tuesday...the bee balm is really brilliant so we made bee balm mint soap and we both agree it is the best stuff so far... I originally made it as a blemish soap since bee balm is a natural astringent but it smells wondeful and tends to get the job done...it is in etsy now( if we don't use it all ourselves~smile~)
Today it's raining...LOTS.. we were suppose to go to the pool but it might not happen..
I emailed Matt and asked for the heads up before we go...
I went to the library yesterday and just started picking up books that looked interesting...ahem.. checked out about 15 or so... that's what happens when I go in there alone... libraries and craft stores... my down fall!
The tea water is boiling, there is a cat anxiously waiting to curl up on my lap, its raining hard outside, and I ahve 15 books waiting for me to read them!
so....curl up with a book and a cat... and have a fine day... all day long!
